Education, Training and Experience
Scarlett is currently working towards her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) where she continues with her research and specialistion interests in Addictions, Family/Parenting and Learning Differences. She has trained and qualified as a Certified Coaching Supervisor with CSA (UK), working with the full range of coaching practices are part of her practicum. Her most recent and third Masters is in Counselling with High Distinction with Monash University, Australia, where she continued the development of her skills in working with a range of child, adolescent, family and individuals presenting issues. During her second Masters of Science in Coaching Pscyhology with Merit via the University of East London, she worked with a wide spectrum of coaching practices during her practicum and her research including interventions with families with learning differences and social skills needs. During her first Masters of Science in Psychology with a cognitive neuropsychology base of neurodevelopment, neurodegeneration and innate and acquired damage, she expanded the development of her practical and enquiry skills where her research interests and projects focussed on the topics of Addictions and Language Acquisition. She completed both a Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Social Science from the Open University (UK), where her research interests included health maintenance issues, Addictions and specific research on the topic of smoking cessation. Scarlett earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Hons) between the Univerity of London (UK) and Marymount Manhattan College (New York, USA) with a focus on neuropsychology and research interests in brain damage, stem cell research and social learning, also earning several awards for her research within the University (Perry Scholar and Honors Colloquium), at State level (Greater New York Undergraduate Conference, Olga Scarpetta Awared for Outstanding Undergraduate Research) and Nationally for her work overall (PsiChi and Alpha Chi).
Scarlett has also been granted certificates of competence in Psychometic and Educational testing from the British Psychological Societies' Psychological Testing Centre and is a Registered Qualified Test User (RQTU) for Ability, Personality, Eurotest and Educational testing and assessments as well as for Statementing. She is listed in the RQTU as a registered test user and administrator.
Additional credentialling includes specific therapeutic interventions, special educational needs and SpLD, child development, play therapy, psychometric assessments, family therapy, addictions , careers, coaching supervision, parenting, postive guidance approach to parenting and teaching and has specific neurological, family and child development and addictions research interests.
Currently residing in Hong Kong and volunteering in her spare time between a variety of charities and organisations, also holding office bearing positions, she has worked with families and individuals for over a decade with a variety of queries as listed on the counselling and coaching psychology information pages. Previous work experience has included public affairs and external relations in scientific organisations, with the remit to dissemenate scientific knowledge generally and specifically to interpret raw research for public consumption via printed materials, conferences, presentation, television programmes, online platforms, discussion fora and similar. Previous studies and training included fine arts, business and marketing.

Scarlett has maintained a range of graduate memberships with psychological and related organisations who encourage and demand sound and ethical practice as well as regular supervision and CPD including the British Psychological Society (MBPsS), the American Psychological Society, the Association for Psychological Science, the Hong Kong Psychological Society, the Hong Kong Society for Psychology and Counselling and additionally with the Australian Counseling Association.
Scarlett Mattoli is a full member of the Association for Coaching, European Mentoring and Coaching Council, the International Society for Coaching Psychology and is a member of the International Coach Federation, where she also serves on the local chapter Board. She is also a fully Accredited Coach at 'Coach' level with the Association for Coaching and a fully Accredited Coach at 'Practitioner' level with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. She is a certified Coaching Supervisor with CSA (UK).
